Installation and Maintenance Instructions for

Scheuten Solar Industrial Line P6-60i40 Photovoltaic Modules

Application class A in accordance with EN 61730

Scheuten Solar modules are quality products produced using high quality

solar cells made of crystalline silicon. All materials used have been carefully

selected. That is why Scheuten Solar modules have an especially long life

cycle.

It is important that the information provided below is observed. These

instructions should be read carefully and observed fully before installation,

initial operation and during maintenance of photovoltaic systems that use

Scheuten Solar PV modules.

Danger! Risk of death or serious injury if not observed! It is crucial

therefore that any work performed on PV systems is carried out

exclusively by skilled professionals who have the respective training.

1. Module mounting

When installing Scheuten Solar photovoltaic modules, local building regulations and the

relevant generally accepted rules of technology must be adhered to at all times.

The rules as per DIN 1055 or EN 1991 apply for structural safety. The applicable latest

version of regional standards and regulations should be adhered to respectively. For this

reason, installation of the modules should only be planned and implemented by skilled

professionals with respective training.

Distributed loads from wind, snow and tare weight will affect the modules. These will be

carried by the glass of the laminate and the module integrated frame made of anodised

aluminium profiles. For this purpose, the solar modules must be mounted to a stable

substructure using a suitable mounting system.

A minimum distance between modules of 5 mm is recommended. If relevant take in addition

into account the elasticity of the mounting structure.

The mounting holes found in the long frame segments can be used (for their position see

Il. Mounting holes). M8 sized bolts with approx. 20 Nm torque should be used. Alternatively,

clamps can be used for the connection. In this case, clamp supplier’s user manual has to be

followed. When using clamps, they can be attached at the position where the frame holes are

found. The dimensions of the clamp surfaces should be sized adequately (recommended

surfaces of 500 mm² per clamp).
