FIRST TIME USE

• Before the appliance is used for the rst time, it must be thoroughly

cleaned as described in the section Cleaning and Maintenance.

• Always use a suitable container for operation. A tall container with a wide

at base is best.

• Push the hand blender down into the ingredients in the bowl before

briey switching the appliance on with the operation button.

• Make sure that the appliance can rotate freely inside the bowl and is not

blocked during operation.

• As soon as the operation button is released, the blender will switch o.

Always wait until the motor has come to a complete stop before lifting

the blender attachment from the mixture.

• Always remove the mains plug from the wall socket after use.

ASSEMBLING

1. Plug the blender unit to the drive unit and turn it anti-clockwise to lock

with the drive unit, to unlock, turn it clockwise.

2. Connect to the mains socket.

follow all the safety precautions listed below.

• Read all the instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for

future reference.

• Retain the manual. If you pass the appliance onto a third party, make sure to

include this manual.

• Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches your mains voltage.

• Before using this appliance, the main body as well as any attachments tted

should be checked thoroughly for any defects.

• This appliance can be used by persons aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use

of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children

should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be

made by children unless they are older than 8 years old and are supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent, or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Do not let the mains cable overhang the edge of the work surface or allow it to

touch hot surfaces or sources of heat or ame.

• Always switch the appliance o, wait until the motor has come to a complete stop

and remove the plug from the mains socket, before attempting to clean any

attachments. The blades are extremely sharp. To prevent injuries, take special care

when handling these parts. After switching o, always wait until the motor has

come to a complete stop. Do not touch any moving parts.

• Always remove the plug from the mains socket after use, if a malfunction occurs

and during cleaning.

• During operation, the appliance should be placed on a scratch-resistant container.

• This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial applica-

tions.

• In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electri-

cal appliances must be carried out by qualied personnel, including the replace-

ment of the mains cable.

• To protect from electrical hazard, do not immerse the appliance or mains cable in

any liquid.

• This appliance has not been designed for any other uses other than those specied

in this manual.

• After each operation, allow the hand blender to cool down for 3 minutes before

using again.

• Always disconnect from the mains supply if left unattended, and before removing,

attaching or cleaning.

UNPACKING

Remove all items from the packaging. Retain the packaging. If you

dispose of it please do so according to local regulations.
