UNPACKING

Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it

please do so according to local regulations.

The following items are included:

FILLING THE KETTLE

Grip the lid opener and kettle rmly. Pull the lid opener

upwards to open the lid. Fill the kettle with the required

amount of water. Do not exceed the maximum ll level

(Max. 1.7L) as indicated on the Water Fill Level. Always

ensure the kettle is lled passed the minimum ll level

(Min. 0.5L) as indicated on the Water Fill Level. Close the

lid (it will “snap” when fully closed).

Place the kettle on its stand. Connect the stand’s

mains cable to the mains socket.

Push the power switch down. The LED will

light up.

WHEN THE WATER HAS BOILED

The kettle will automatically switch o (the power switch will spring upwards and the

LED indicator will turn o). You can also turn o the kettle manually: push the power

switch upwards; the LED indicator will turn o.

CLEANING THE KETTLE

The kettle exterior should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. Do not use abrasive

cleaners or scouring pads which may damage the nish of the kettle.

Never immerse the kettle or the stand in water and always keep the electrical

contacts dry. Always disconnect from the mains before cleaning the stand.

DESCALING THE KETTLE

Depending on the hardness of the water in your

area, limescale may be deposited on the heating

element and the inside of the kettle. This normal

build-up is not harmful to health but an

excessive amount of scale may aect the

performance of the kettle.

You should descale the kettle at least twice a

year.

To descale, ll the kettle with a descaling solution

up to three-quarters of the Max level and boil.

After boiling, unplug the kettle from the mains

socket and leave overnight. In the morning,

discard the descaling solution. Fill the kettle to

the Max level (1.7L) with clean water and boil.

Discard the boiled water. Rinse out the kettle

with clean water.

FIRST TIME USE

Clean your kettle by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the

water.

KEEPING THE MAINS CABLE TIDY

Extend the mains cable in the kettle stand to the

required length. Place the mains cable in the slot

in the stand.

For your safety, keep the length of the exposed

mains cable as short as possible.

This kettle must only be used

with the stand provided.

If the kettle is overlled, boiling water may be ejected from the spout and

scald. The water may also spill onto the kettle stand and cause an

electrical hazard.

Do not insert any foreign objects or allow any liquid to spill into the

Power Connector Hole.

• Never open the lid while the water is

boiling. The steam coming out of the

kettle is very hot.

• If there is insucient water in the kettle,

the automatic safety cut-out will cut o

the power. If this happens, lift up the

power switch (back to the “o”

position), and allow the kettle to cool

for at least 10 minutes before relling

with cold water and re-boiling.

• Ensure the switch is not obstructed

and the lid is rmly closed. The kettle

will not turn o if the switch is

obstructed, or if the lid is open.

• After removing the kettle, there may

be some water on the surface of the

stand. This is condensation from the

steam that causes the kettle to

automatically switch o the kettle

after boiling. This is normal and should

not be a cause for alarm.

Ensure the kettle is cool before removing the lter.

CLEANING THE REMOVABLE SCALE FILTER

To prevent loose particles of limescale being poured

into your beverage, your kettle is tted with a scale

lter. You can remove the lter and ret it after

cleaning.

1. Open the lid.

2. From the inside of the kettle, push the top of the

lter towards the spout. Then pull up on the

lter’s lip.

3. To ret the lter, align it against the lter supports

inside the spout.

4. Push the lter down until you hear a click.
