motor in water or other liquid.

6. Turn the appliance OFF ( ), then unplug from outlet when not in use,

before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To unplug,

grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

7. Avoid contact with moving parts. Do not attempt to defeat any safety

interlock mechanisms.

8. Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blades while chopping

food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food

chopper. A scraper may be used but must be used ONLY when the food

chopper is not running.

9. Blades are sharp. Handle cutting blades carefully when inserting or removing,

emptying the bowl, and during cleaning. Store out of reach of children.

10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged supply cord or plug, or

after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in

any manner. Supply cord replacement and repairs must be conducted

by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in

order to avoid a hazard. Contact Customer Service for information on

examination, repair, or adjustment as set forth in the Limited Warranty.

11. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance

manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or personal injury.

12. Do not use outdoors.

13. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces,

including stove.

14. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

15. Check that the appliance is OFF ( ) before plugging cord into wall

outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF ( ); then remove plug from

wall outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull

from the power cord.

16. Be certain lid is securely locked in place before operating appliance.

17. Do not attempt to defeat any interlock mechanism.

18. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without

first putting bowl properly in place.

19. Do not remove cover until blade has completely stopped rotating.

20. Do not use appliance for other than intended purpose.

21. This appliance is intended for processing small quantities of food for

immediate consumption. This appliance is not intended to prepare large

quantities of food at one time.

22. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the chopper bowl as it can be

ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

23. CAUTION! In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the

thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external

switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is

regularly switched on and off by the utility.

How to Use

IMPORTANT: Before first use, follow instructions in “Care and Cleaning.”

1. Make sure Chopper is unplugged. Place Bowl onto Base.

2. Carefully place Blade in Bowl over center shaft. Turn until Blade slips

down to bottom of Bowl.

3. Place food in Bowl.

4. Place Lid on Bowl.

5. Plug into outlet. Press Lid to chop. To turn off, release Lid. Do not remove

Lid until Blade has stopped turning.

6. Unplug; remove Lid. Remove Bowl from Base. Carefully remove Blade

before removing contents.

7. Use cord wrap on bottom of unit for easy storage.

Chopping Tips

• The Bowl has a capacity of 3 cups (710 mL). For liquid ingredients, do not

exceed 1 1/2 cups (355 mL) (MAX LIQUID FILL line on Bowl).

• For more control, process by pressing Lid briefly, then releasing. Check

consistency and continue if desired.

NOTES:

• Do not process raw meat, coffee beans, or whole, hard spices in the Food

Chopper. This could damage the Chopper.

• This machine is equipped with motor overload protection. If the motor

stops during operation due to overheating, unplug and allow it to cool down

for approximately 15 minutes. Plug machine back in to resume normal

operation.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard. Do not immerse base, cord, or

plug in water or any other liquid.

1. Wash Lid, Bowl, and Chopping Blade in hot, soapy water or in top

rack of dishwasher. Chopping Blade is sharp; handle carefully. DO NOT

use “SANITIZE” setting when washing in dishwasher. SANITIZE cycle

temperatures could damage your product.

2. Reassemble for safe storage.

3. To clean Base, wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Processing Chart

TO MAKE INSTRUCTIONS

Bread Crumbs Tear bread slices (up to 3) into 6 pieces.

Cheese, Parmesan Cut in 1/2-inch (1.3-cm) cubes. Process 1/2 cup (118 mL) of

cubes at a time.

Cookie Crumbs Break into pieces. Use up to 1 1/2 cups (355 mL) of pieces.

Fruit, Chopped Cut fruit into 1-inch (2.5-cm) chunks. Place up to 1 1/2 cups

(355 mL) of pieces into Chopper.

Garlic, Minced Peel; then process 1 or more cloves at a time.

Graham Cracker Crumbs Break into 4 pieces. Place up to 6 crackers in Chopper at a

time.

Nuts, Chopped Place up to 1 cup (237 mL) in Chopper.

Parsley Pinch off sprigs from bunch.

Vegetables Cut vegetables into 1-inch (2.5-cm) chunks. Place up to

1 1/2 cups (355 mL) in Chopper at a time.

Limited Warranty

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada.

This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other

warranty or condition.

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship

for a period of one (1) year from the date of original delivery in the U.S. and

Canada. During this period, your exclusive remedy is replacement of this

product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however,

you are responsible for all costs associated with our returning a product

or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is

unavailable, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.

This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not

in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting

from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the

original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt,

as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty

is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or

subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating

label (e.g., 120 V ~ 60 Hz).

We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages

caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited

to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including

any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a

particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law,

in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of

this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may

Pièces et caractéristiques

Utilisation

IMPORTANT : Avant la première utilisation, suivre les instructions du

chapitre « Entretien et nettoyage ».

1. S’assurer que le hachoir est débranché. Installer le bol sur la base.

2. Placer soigneusement la lame à hacher sur l’arbre central situé dans le

récipient. Tourner jusqu’à ce que la lame glisse vers le fond du bol.

3. Mettre les aliments dans le bol.

4. Fixer le couvercle sur le bol.

5. Brancher dans une prise murale. Appuyer sur le couvercle pour hacher.

Relâcher le couvercle pour arrêter la transformation. Attendre l’arrêt

complet de la lame avant de retirer le couvercle.

6. Débrancher et retirer le couvercle. Enlever le récipient de la base. Enlever

la lame prudemment avant d’enlever le contenu.

7. Utiliser l’enrouleur de cordon sous la base de l’appareil pour ranger

facilement.

The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety

purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter.
