Your appliance should be used in such a way that it is protected from moisture. e.g.
condensation, water splashes etc. Do not place or store your toaster where it can fall or
be pulled into water or any other liquids.
Do not reach for the applicance if it has fallen in any water or any other liquids. Unplug
immediately.
Make sure that children cannot touch the appliance when hot or pull the mains cable.
It is DANGEROUS to insert ngers or objects other than bread into the bread slots.
Never place your ngers or metal objects in the bread slots at any time. Do not allow
young children to play with your appliance.
Only place toast bread in your toaster. Do not attempt to toast any pastry or bread
product which is lled with a fruit or sugary lling (pop tarts etc). The llings may leak
from the product and cause damage to your appliance with the possible risk of a re
occurring.
Your appliance must be watched when in use. Do not leave your toaster unattended,
as bread may jam in the bread slots.

Unpacking
Remove all packaging from the 2 slice toaster. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it
please do so according to any recycling regulations.

Important
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
including the following:
1. This appliance has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety
standards but, like any electrical appliance, care must be taken if you are to obtain the
best results and safety is to be assured.
2. Do read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the appliance.
3. Do ensure that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, extension leads
and inter-connections between the pieces of the appliance) are properly made and in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Switch o and withdraw the mains
plug before making or changing connections.
4. Do consult your dealer if you are ever in doubt about the installation, operation or
safety of your appliance.
5. Do not remove any xed cover as this may expose dangerous voltages.
6. Do not allow electrical appliance to be exposed to dripping, splashing, or objects
lled with liquids, such as vases, to be placed on the appliance.
7. Do not continue to operate the appliance if you are in any doubt about it working
normally, if it or the mains cable is damaged in any way or it has been dropped or
damaged - switch o, withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.
8. Never guess or take chances with electrical appliances of any kind - it is better to be
safe than sorry!
9. Make sure that your mains socket voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the
rating label of the appliance.
10. Do not touch hot surfaces. Temperature of accessible surfaces may be very high
when the appliance is operating. Use handles or knobs only.
11. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse mains cable, plug, or any part of
the appliance in water or any other liquids.
12. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
13. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
14. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
15. Unplug the unit from the mains socket when it is not in use and before cleaning.
16. If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
17. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
18. Do not operate this appliance with a damaged mains cable or plug, or in an
abnormal state.
19. Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
20. Do not place on or near an electric burner, in a heated oven, radiators, hot gas, or
direct sunlight.
21. Use the appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
22. Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the appliance
as they may cause re or electric shock.
23. Bread may burn, therefore the appliance must not be used near or below curtains or
other combustible materials.
24. The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause
injuries.
25. Use the appliance on a level and stable work surface. Do not allow your appliance to
sit on top of the mains cable.
26. Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is in operation.
27. Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting so as to avoid injuries.
28. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
29. Save these instructions.
To operate the appliance, plug the toaster into the mains socket and slide the toasting lever
downwards.
Please note: The toasting lever will only stay in downward position if the appliance is
connected to the mains!
