BATTLE MOUNTAIN 3 SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove contents from stu sack and lay on ground.

2. Stake out the body.

3. Assemble the poles: one poleset with two hubs, two dark gray poles of the

same length and one black pole for the vestibule. Be careful to insert each pole

section into the next by hand instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them

together to ensure each pole section is fully seated.

4. Position the main pole on top of the tent body, aligning it so that the hubs are

centered over the body and the ridge pole is parallel to the doors. Insert the

pole tips into the grommets located at the corners of the tent. Locate the H

clips in the middle of the tent, attach them to the disks on the bottom of the

hubs.

5. Attach the Twist Clips with orange webbing to the poles.

6. Take one of the dark gray poles and run it across one of the doors, insert the

pole tips into the grommets of the black webbing on the side of the tent. Re-

peat the step with the other dark gray pole on the opposite side.

7. Attach the remaining clips to the poles. The carabiners should go over both

poles.

8. Drape the rainy over the tent aligning the black and orange webbing on the

y with the black and orange webbing of the tent body.

9. Take the remaining black pole, go to the front door and locate the pole sleeve

on the underside of the y and feed the pole through the sleeve. Insert the

pole tips into the grommets.

10. Make sure the webbing located at the corners of the rainy is completely slack-

ened. Attach the buckles on the rainy to those on the tent body.

11. Stake out the vestibules.

12. Evenly tension the webbing on each buckle as needed to keep the rainy taut.

13. Stake out all guy lines.

Separate 6”, large diameter pole segment included for emergency eld repair.

Slide repair pole over the break to act as a splint.

FAST FLY SET UP

If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for your Battle Mountain tent, it will

enable you to pitch a shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly congu-

ration requires the footprint, rainy, poles and stakes.

1. Lay the footprint on the ground and stake out.

2. Assemble the poles: one poleset with two hubs, two same length dark gray

poles and one black pole for the vestibule. Be careful to insert each pole section

into the next by hand instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them together

to ensure each pole section is fully seated.

3. Position the main pole on top of the footprint, aligning it so that the ridge pole

is parallel to the front and back of the footprint. Insert the pole tips into the

corner grommets.

4. Take one of the dark gray poles and run it across the front side of the footprint,

color coded with black webbing, insert the pole tips into the grommets of the

black webbing on the side of the tent. Repeat the step with the other dark gray

pole on the opposite side.

5. Drape the rainy over the poles aligning the black and orange webbing on the

y with the black and orange webbing on the footprint.

6. Ax the Velcro loops on the underside of the y around the corresponding

poles.

7. Take the remaining black pole, locate the pole sleeve on the underside of the

y at the front door and feed the pole through the sleeve. Insert the pole tips

into the grommets.

8. Make sure the webbing at the corners of the rainy is completely slackened.

9. Attach the buckles on the rainy to those on the footprint.

10. Stake out the vestibules.

11. Evenly tension the webbing on each corner as needed to keep the rainy taut.

12. Stake out all guy-lines.
