1 REGISTER YOUR APPLIANCE

2 ABOUT THIS MANUAL
This manual is composed of two parts:
• The first part is the part that you are reading now. It includes
instructions for the assembly, use and maintenance of your
appliance.
• The second part starts on page 97. It includes all kinds of
illustrations (exploded views, assembly drawings...) of the
appliances that are described in this manual.
3 IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Read and follow the instructions
Read the instructions before using the appliance. Always follow
the instructions carefully. Assembling or using the appliance
differently can cause fires and material damage.

Damages caused by not following the instructions
(improper assembly, misuse, inadequate maintenance...)
are not covered by the warranty.
3.2 Use your common sense
Use your common sense when working with the appliance:
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• Warning! The appliance will become very hot, do not move it
during operation.
• Use appropriate protection when handling hot parts.
• Keep flammable materials, flammable liquids and dissoluble
objects away from an appliance in use.
• Warning! Keep children and pets away from an appliance in
use.
• Keep a bucket of water or sand at hand when using the
appliance, especially on very hot days and in dry areas.
• Warning! Do not use indoors.
3.3 Select an appropriate location
Use the appliance outdoors only. Using it indoors, even in a
garage or shed, can cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
When selecting an outdoor location, always:
• Make sure the appliance is not under an overhanging
structure (a porch, a shelter...) or under foliage.
• Put the appliance on a firm and stable surface. Never put it
on a moving vehicle (a boat, a trailer...).
4 ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
4.1 Safety instructions
• Do not modify the appliance when assembling it. It is very
dangerous and not allowed to alter parts of the appliance.
• Always follow the assembly instructions carefully.
• The user is responsible for the correct assembly of the
appliance. Damages caused by improper assembly are not
covered by the warranty.
4.2 To assemble the appliance
You need a cross-slotted screwdriver.
1 Put the appliance on a flat and clean surface.
2 Assemble the appliance as shown on the assembly
drawings.

You find the assembly drawings in the second part of this
manual, after the exploded view of your appliance.
5 GETTING THE APPLIANCE READY
FOR USE
You need dry newspaper, wood (twigs, branches, logs),
firelighters (complying with EN 1860-3) and a long match.
5.1 Step 1: Checking and installing the
tripod
1 Take the tripod and check if the screws at the top are still
firmly fixed. You have to do this each time you use the tripod.
2 If the screws are loose, proceed as follows to tighten them:
a Remove the chain and the cover from the top of the
tripod.
b Tighten the screws with a cross-slotted screwdriver.
c Put the cover and the chains back on the tripod.
3 Place the tripod in an appropriate location and push the legs
firmly into the ground. This prevents the legs from moving
when you manoeuvre the grill with the pulley.

If you cannot push the legs into the ground, you cannot
hang the grill from the pulley. You then have to hang it
from the legs of the tripod. See “5.3 Step 3: Installing the
grill”.
5.2 Step 2: Installing the fire pit
You have to hang the fire pit from the legs of the tripod. Proceed
as follows:
1 Take three mounting chains and hook one end of each chain
in one of the mounting holes in the fire pit.
2 Put the free ends of the chains over the hooks on the legs of
the tripod.
3 Make sure the fire pit hangs straight. Reposition the legs of
the tripod if necessary.
4 Check if tripod is still stable. Push the legs as firmly into the
ground as possible.
