Mounting methods deviating from fig. I, fig. II or appendix II need approval from Scheuten
Solar. Forces impacting the frame profile at the points of contact must not result in any
deformation of the frame. Constraint between frame and glass should be avoided at all costs.
If installed on an incline, the modules should be secured from sliding. Suitable fasteners
should not be attached any further away than around 100 mm from the frame’s edges.
Drainage openings must not be covered up. All attachment means must be made of non-
corrosive material. When designing PV systems using Multisol standard modules, no
changes may be made to original design as was delivered. For example, no additional holes
should be drilled into the unit for mounting purposes, for potential equalisation or for any
other purposes. Any changes of this kind will void the unit’s warranty.
Additional information: Fasteners and mounting systems are not included in the scope of
delivery of Multisol standard modules. The conditions of use as provided by the respective
manufacturer of such elements and systems are to be observed. Multisol photovoltaic
modules are not considered as regulated building products (in the meaning of e.g.
DIBT=Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik; German Institute for Building Technology).
Local building codes and regulations must be followed at all times, such as in case of the use
of Multisol PV modules as overhead glazing or rooftop systems, where an adequate fire
protection must be taken care of.
To rule out extreme temperatures and damage as a result, PV modules may not be subject
to any artificially concentrated sunlight. Instead, it should be assured that there is enough
ventilation from behind.
The applicable regulations pertaining to work safety, accident prevention and
securing the construction site must be observed. Persons and objects have to be
secured against falling. Any third party need to be protected against injuries and
damages.
Do not step on the modules.
2. Electrical installation
The solar modules are designed to be used in PV systems of application class A and can
therefore be operated in systems using hazardous direct current and power (with ratings
higher than 120 V DC in accordance with EN 61730). PV modules in this application class
may be used in systems that are accessible without restrictions. Multisol modules that are
certified within this application class in accordance with EN 61730 satisfy the requirements of
safety class II if installed in accordance with instructions.
Danger! Risk of death or serious injury from electric shock!
Despite protection against accidental contact, under unfavourable conditions if several
modules are connected in series, hazardous voltage of several hundred volts may be present
when exposed to light. For this reason, work on the modules may only be performed by
qualified skilled professionals. The manufacturer’s instructions of the other components
being used, especially those of the inverter, are to be observed.
After unpacking the modules, inspect them carefully for any damage. Inspect in particular all
plastic parts, which are critical to assure proper reinforced or dual insulation. PV modules
may not be lifted at the connection cables or the junction box.
