PMR446
PMR446 is a license-exempt frequency band. Be conside-
rate, as there may be other users on the same channel.
Area of coverage/Range
The range depends on the surrounding terrain. The range
is widest in open terrain without obstructions (hills, moun-
tains, buildings, etc.). To avoid interference, radios should
not be used at distances less than 1.5 m from one another.
1. Safety
Never expose radio, charger or power adapter to
moisture or dampness.
Use only the enclosed or a recommended charger
Use only the enclosed battery pack in the device when
charging. Charging other batteries does not work.
If you use the headset you should refrain from listening
at top volume to protect your hearing.
Always remove batteries when the device is not
in use for long periods.
To reduce the risk of exposure to radio wave radiation,
always hold the radio at least 5 cm from your face
when transmitting.
Do not use the radio if the antenna is damaged.
Switch off the radio when requested to do so – for
example, during detonations or when there is risk of
explosion from flammable materials, gases or liquids.
